Smoking fasts your skin aging process. Why? It has been scientifically approved that smoking can accelerate the normal aging process of your skin, contributing to wrinkles. Skin ages from smoking can be visible in young adults who have a history of smoking for as few as 10 years.
The Inside Reasons:
Doctor says smoking causes narrowing of the blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin. As a result, it decreases blood flow, depleting the skin of oxygen and nutrients, such as vitamin A, which are factors that increase damage to the elastic fibers (elastin) and collagen that give your skin strength and elasticity.
The Outside Reasons:
In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking — such as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke — may contribute to wrinkles. It's also possible that repeated exposure to the heat from burning cigarettes might damage your facial skin over time.
